Post natal yoga care
Congratulations on the birth of your baby! To be able to enjoy the first few months after the delivery and to improve your recovery, it is of great importance to take good care of yourself and your body. However, with the arrival of a little one you probably will not get around to doing so.
The post-natal yoga lessons offer you the opportunity to take time to step back and ask yourself: How do I feel? What do I long for? What does my body need or tell me?
The yoga and breathing exercises reinforce the contact with yourself, with your belly, pelvis and, in fact, your whole body, strengthening and deepening your body awareness, resulting in self-healing and recuperative powers.
The exercises stimulate the integration of your body awareness into the daily routine. This means transforming the daily activities like feeding the baby, changing diapers, lifting bags and your baby, into conscious movements to get back into shape. Therefore both the yoga and the breathing exercises are also used as strength building postures to fortify your health, increase endurance, strength and flexibility. Besides that, attention will be paid to massaging the belly and possible scar tissue.
The course contains 1 to 4 private 90-minute sessions. It takes place at Khagaya centrum voor yoga, Ary Schefferstraat 20, 2597 VV Den Haag, or can take place at your home, so that you and your baby can stay in.
